Don McKinlay

Born in Bootle, Liverpool in 1929, Don McKinlay can be credited with a wide-ranging versatility in painting, sculpture and printmaking. He was undoubtedly one of the most important artists to come from the North-West of England in the past generation.

Most of Don’s work relates to the human figure and everyday situations as well as political situations around the world. The reporting of these situations in the popular press has provided Don with source material for a number of years.
