Darren Baker
Darren Baker is a super realist painter. In 2000 he was appointed official artist for the Professional Footballers’ Association, which has been an ongoing appointment. He was then appointed an official artist for the 2012 Olympic Games. In 2011 he completed the commission for the official portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth ll to commemorate her 85th birthday.
This print ‘The Football Crowd’ was taken from the original painting which was commissioned by the Professional Football Association in 2009. They then donated the painting to the new Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The painting depicts celebrity footballers and managers in the crowd at Wembley Stadium.
The print is limited to an edition of only 250 copies, each one approved, numbered and signed by the artist. The publisher’s certificate of authentication is included. Printed on archival grade paper with generous borders, the size quoted is the image size. The print can be purchased framed or unframed and the prices are based on you collecting from Knutsford.
