Florian Foerster

Florian Foerster is a German artist, living in Berlin, who works in a variety of techniques. His work consists of paintings in oils as well as mixed media, printmaking and collage.

He is a versatile artist who studied, created and taught art for a total of 15 years in Manchester from the mid 1980’s. During his time in Manchester he was inspired by the buildings in and around Redbank and Cheetham Hill. He concentrated on making drawings and paintings of those areas.

After leaving Manchester and returning to Berlin, Florian has continued to make regular trips to Manchester and revisits the areas he used to paint. He is already well-known here, having exhibited his work with The Tib Lane Gallery, the Wendy Levy Gallery and Contemporary Six Gallery.
